POET Technologies Appoints Taylor Rafferty, LLC as Investor Relations Firm

Toronto, ON, April 28, 2014 – POET Technologies Inc. (TSX-V: PTK and OTCQX: OPELF) (the “Company”) announces the appointment of Taylor Rafferty, LLC (“TR”) as the Company’s Investor Relations firm. The change in investor relations counsel follows Christopher Chu rejoining Taylor Rafferty, LLC where he previously assisted leading blue-chip companies in cross-border investor relations campaigns.

TR will be providing investor relations services starting immediately and services continue for one year or until either party notifies the other of termination of the agreement with 60 days notice. TR will be paid $5,500 per month plus out-of-pocket expenses as required. Additional services will be billed at TR’s going rate. TR is completely at arm’s length to the Company and has no direct or indirect interest, and no intention to acquire any interest, in the securities of POET. The appointment of TR is subject to filing the appropriate documents with the TSX Venture Exchange (“TSXV”) and the acceptance of the filings by the TSXV.
